At least with casting. It seems all the SG1 cast will guest star in SGU. Alas, SGA, once again, is the red-headed stepchild.... :(

---------------

Alas, I am yawning at this news. I liked STargate SG-1, but I am tired of TPTB foisting these characters into every incarnation of Stargate. Wasn't it enough that they appeared in Stargate Atlantis? Can NO Stargate show stand on its own two feet?? Guess not. And, I can see including a singer is definitely aiming toward the *cough* '90210' audience. ;)

UPDATE: Ooops, go to post right after this to read article, plus make comments.  Mistakenly posted it twice!

This seems to be a common thing in a lot of new shows. Smallville started it and to some extent Supernatural does it too, but with old Metalhead music. One Tree Hill, the new 90210, even some of big shows like diffrent of the CSIs and Without a Trace, and even The Dollhouse have tossed in mainline music people songs into the background while everyone moves around or in some case moons around trying to seem thoughtful and emoting like mad. It's...marketing to sell the music and try to appeal to "younger people". Personally, I've found it annoying. It's so obviously marketing and everyone is doing it any more. *shakes head*

*Mentions of above TV shows does not mean I watch all the CW drivel beyond Supernatural and on the rare occation Smallville.

Well, it really started with Stephen J. Cannel shows back in the 80s, then Miami Vice really made it work, but lately, yeah, even NCIS has a soundtrack now!
