Details at http://www.axn.hu/stargatechat but guess what, it's in Hungarian!  However, translated by Google's translation doohickie...and capped the picture for posterity.

So, on May 20th, you can join the chat, or post on that page. It took a couple minutes for the site to load up(lots of questions there already)   Oh, 7pm Budapest time is [correction] 1:00 PM NYC time. You can use www.timeanddate.com to find your time zone.

"Flanigannel," sounds like something you'd say when you're drunk.

Person A: So who's gonna be on the pannel?

Person B: Joe ::hic::

Person A: Joe Flan Joe Flannni, um, crap. What? You confused me! JOE. JOE SHEPPARD.

Person A: I thought...

Person B: No no no no no. Not Shep. No Shep. Pard. Baaaaaa. ::giggles for awhile:: Wait. Um. Joe Flannel No FlanIGAN. That.

Person A: Joe Flanigan is going to be on the panel.

Person B: 'S right. On the. Joe. Joe Flanigannel. ::pause:: He's all smirky. ::giggles and falls over::

It's always funny to see what others think about your language. :)

Actually Flanigannel means 'with Flanigan'.

Oh, gracious, I hope I...you know, I was in Budapest about, gosh, almost 17 years ago, now, and I've got a pretty good ear, and I have to say, Magyar has been the one language I have not been able to pick up AT ALL. Not hello, or please or thank you...it was very frustrating. I've got enough French, Italian, Spanish and German to at least be polite, find a bathroom and get a taxi, but I confess I was completely stumped. Every greeting sounded different.

The interpreter always went with my father and the other gentlemen who were getting honorary degrees from a seminary there, so the wives and I were often left completely in the dark.

And now that I know that you conjoin words like that...well I think that might explain a lot of why things ran together or changed configurations.

Thank you for telling me!

OR THE MOST COMFY, SNUGGLY FABRIC EVER.

E.G.: I have a nightshirt made of flanigannel and I cannot stop wearing it. It makes my nipples happy.

::snortgiggle:: Yes! That works for me. And you can almost hear the soft tones of the commercial voiceover, "For happy nipples..... wear Flanigannel (tm)."

7pm in Budapest will most likely be closer to 12 or 1pm NYC time, not 10pm. Budapest is GMT+1 or +2.

I wish I could be around for this but unfortunately can't. I hope people are kind to him or he will never do anything like this again.

It is good to see him out and about though - even if it is only online :)

I hope someone is able to record the transcript - i'd love to see what he says.

Alas, unless I can get the laptop to work on the road while zipping along a highway in the midwest, gonna have to listen to transcript. I hope they do an audio recording... well, maybe it's not audio, but I do believe they'll put up a transcript.
