SyFy puts the nail in the coffin of Eureka

Yup, SyFy has pulled the plug on Eureka, and it's not even going to get those six episodes of a sixth season, as they first talked about.

Sucks. It was a fun series. Now SyFy has what left? Nothing that I can think of!

I guess since so many actors sign a five year contract if they're on at the beginning of a show, it's cheaper to kill the show than to deal with contract negotiations. At least to the bean counters, who don't realize you can't just stick a new (and cheaper) show on the air and get the same results.
