And this is the car...
Jan. 13th, 2013 08:34 pmThat caused me to get rear-ended. I still don't know what happened - there were no skid marks that any of us could see. Anyway, this hybrid slammed fast and hard into an SUV, which was then propelled into the rear of my car. All in all, I was the luckiest. The hybrid is toast, and honestly, with the front and rear damage to the SUV, they might total it. I still have to deal with insurance and auto body shops to determine the extent of damage to my Civic. Wreckage from the hybrid was scattered across both lanes and into people's yards and driveways.

Date: 2013-01-14 01:42 am (UTC)Whatever happened to the driver of this car? I mean given the
condition of front end and your statement that the wreckage
was scattered so far.
You are absolutely right about the SUV, they will write it off
as a total..........when there is rear and front end damage.
Have you gotten any estimates yet?
Also, have you a rental part of your insurance?
Try Enterprise if you are in need? They often have a
deal, at least they did with State Farm who handled my claim.
In fact State Farm said they were their #1 preference.
They will pick you up at the body shop, and then you drop
it off when you pick up your car later. No muss, no fuss.
