A fan made a video from Stargate Atlantis’ “Vegas” episode using Johnny Cash’s ‘Solitary Man’ song. I like :)

wraithfodder: (invader zim)
Ah, and I forgot my weekend DID have some excitement (besides painting house, mowing lawn, doing dishes, and other mundane stuff). I found this snake in the patio window well. Alas, I know that a raccoon loves to poke around and get what he can from the trash and then comes to the patio, so this little guy could have been toast.

Anyway, I donned the glove only cuz I know snakes like to piss all over you to make you release them, and that way, I dont' have to scrub scrub that stench off. As you can see, snake was not pleased. And, I put the little guy in the old garden out back where he'll be safe and sound, so, no critters were harmed in this video.

If you don't like snakes, you can pass over the video to the next one under the cut, which has no snakes.

Video under cut as snake phobia didn't even cross my mind. Sorry! I'm sure this is how SyFy film producers got started )
wraithfodder: (Radioactive kitty)
Okay... bored? Nothing to do? Well, you can watch this video. Well, you actually don't need to watch, as it's pitch black, as well, it was black outside. I went outside one hot and humid night this past August and sat down, aimed the digital camera at the tree with the most tree frogs, and just recorded three minutes of frogs, crickets and whatever else might be out there. Maybe one day I'll get coyotes on sound. They are WEIRD! Like hyenas.

wraithfodder: (brain eating)
It's a cricket. Repeat, a cricket, not a cockroach ;) And very tiny, about the size of my fingernail, if that, but if you watch carefully, you can see his antannae are twice the size of his body. And the noise in the background is a TV commercial, and then, the cat (in video before this) yowling "feed me!"

wraithfodder: (sleeping cat)
And yes, that's him in the LJ icon too! ;) anyway, took kitty to the vet for his regular shots, and just when he was about to get them, the vet got called into the back for an emergency, so I sat there for a while with the cat, who, actually, was a LOT calmer than when he was in the car (screaming every 2.5 seconds).

wraithfodder: (McKay-this is cool)
This is *hysterical*! It's self-explanatory

wraithfodder: (Default)
Here's a REALLY short video I made of the mammatus clouds this past Friday. I love the birds in the background...

wraithfodder: (exterminate)

This 49-second trailer for Stargate Universe was shown during Stargate Continuum last night, but is now available at

http://www.scifi.com/universe/

There are some clips from the shows (including from White Sands), plus sound bytes from
  • Robert Carlyle
  • Lou Diamond Phillips
  • Brian J. Smith

  • Elyse Levesque
My thoughts on it  )

Joe Flanigan did a six minute interview with Gateworld. Here's the video

and you can find the text version at http://www.gateworld.net/interviews/solitary_man.shtml

More on the Joe Flanigan AXN Chat on May 20th.

Google translation of text: Below find a minute of the PROM, which is next week Wednesday to announce Joe Flanigan chats. Ezt a spotot minden Csillagkapu és Csillagkapu: Atlantisz elÅ‘tt és után láthatjátok 20-ig az AXN-en és az AXN SCI-FI-on. This is all the spots in the Star and Star: Atlantis before and after you see the 20-by-en AXN and AXN SCI-FI-on.

Okay, can't understand a word in the video except "Joe Flanigan" but hey, who cares? It's fun to watch, and maybe if we watch enough, we'll learn a word or two of Hungarian ;)

--thanks to lythisrose for the tip
wraithfodder: (Keller-devil)

There's a small mention (done humorously) of Stargate Atlantis, but it's mostly Stargate Universe but it is amusing nevertheless.

wraithfodder: (Default)

http://www.hdfilms.com/2009/05/12/the-jace-hall-show-visits-stargate-watch-the-promo/ had a small mention about the upcoming Stargate segment on the JACE HALL SHOW... (May 12th)

I was actually impressed that Jace was able to work with MGM for months to get us in to see AND FILM with the actual Stargate. While we were there, Chris Judge was insane enough to play along and do a bit for our show. You should now that we actually don’t necessarily plan our shoots or write them in advance and this little piece promo is actually all improved by the three of us.

Visit link for a screencap plus link to video.
wraithfodder: (Ronon-thoughtful)
Here's a wonderful short little piece on Stargate with Jace Hall, Christopher Judge, and a poor woman who did not want to wake up early. Does have one mention of Stargate Universe (at end). Check it out.

Big thanks to Nic for the exclusive  tip :)

Disclaimer: May be viewable only to U.S. viewers. [UPDATE: Seems viewable all around the globe!]
wraithfodder: (aye aye)

This was cool, and totally unexpected. While I was waiting for a squirrel to show up to take the donut bait laid out on the patio, I just looked out the window and whoa! the FOX! I've seen it (pretty sure it's the same one) on and off the last year or so, coming down to raid the food I throw out for the crows (old bread, etc.). Anyway, shot this through a window (which yeah, should get washed, but it's gonna rain, so.....).

wraithfodder: (Sheppard-guh)
http://stargate.mgm.com/video.php?id=194 contains the video

Goodbye Atlantis - 4:25 15.9MB - Executive Producer Joseph Mallozzi says goodbye to Atlantis. Watch it in real time - only on SCI FI.

Okay, read some comments about it on GW, then watched it and well, yeah, the folks were right... well, it's got David Hewlett's last day, Jason Momoa's last day, RAchel Luttrell, Jewel Staite, and hello? I sorta recall some guy named Joe Flanigan throughout the entire series?? So I guess Joe M isn't going to miss him? It just seems, well, tacky, not to include the leading actor of the show in the goodbye. I seriously doubt they'd have done that to RDA (well, considering he was a producer, no they wouldn't).

So if you're watching for Joe Flanigan, once the scene atop the gate is over, that's basically it for Joe except far shots, but gad, so weird he's not even mentioned!
wraithfodder: (flashpoint)
Cool. Found this Flashpoint interview on a brief websearch for Hugh Dillon's music. From the TVGuide Channel.

wraithfodder: (Shep-awesome)

Okay, I have finally escaped reality for a little while, and here is the compilation of links to videos, photos and fan blogs on (mostly) Joe Flanigan & Jason Momoa at this past weekend's UK convention, Chevron 7.2

MGM has put up a new video of Rachel Luttrell on their Stargate Atlantis site:

2:30 6.97MB

Rachel Luttrell discusses the evolution of Teyla. Watch it in real time - only on SCI FI

Lord only knows why they tell us to watch it in real time. Heck, it only repeats at one in the morning, if then!

wraithfodder: (critter-scream)
This is just too good to pass up not sharing... another celebrity meltdown ;)

I died laughing after watching this! :)

Regrettably, not a lot of Joe Flanigan, but still interesting to watch.

wraithfodder: (Default)
Ah, it would be nice to see some Stargate presence at the NY Comic Con....

However, Milo Ventimiglia, from HEROES, will be there! As will the cast of Fox's FRINGE! Too bad neither show really interests me, but I may check out their panels if I can find out where the rooms are this year ;) And J. Michael Straczynski from Babylon 5 will be there, too. However Seth Green will be there and I saw five minutes of ROBOT CHICKEN and laughed myself silly.

Unfortunately, Diamond Select Toys has again pushed back the release date for the series 3 Stargate Atlantis action figures until mid-February. Darn! Did I whine about this already? Hmm... anyway, was hoping to pick up a spare Ronon so I could beat one up in action figure theater.

Anywhere, there is a great blog that posts stuff on the con at http://www.mediumatlarge.net. Regrettably, it's where I found this video that is either really cute or makes you want to confess your bank account number if forced to watch repeatedly ;)

wraithfodder: (Shep-darkblue)
Here's the Sci Fi channel ad for the final (nooo! waah! sniffle!) episode of "Stargate Atlantis". And yeah, I guess it does contain spoilers, so you're warned, etc. etc. Mucho big thanks to [livejournal.com profile] pfyre for the vid. :)

Hmmmm

wraithfodder: (brain eating)

Since I actually got some e-mail alerts on my YouTube account, I decided to see if anybody was actually looking at them. I’m sorta surprised…

1,165 hits on a chipmunk eating seeds underneath John Sheppard action figure.

363 watched george the slug crawl over Rodney McKay action figure’s face

918 watched the snippet of David Hewlett from Forever Knight

1,026 watched the snippet of David Hewlett from Night Heat

495 watched a short vid of someone in VERY tight jeans in NYC

2,860 people watched a 14 second clip of of pure black with frogs croaking!

140 watched a woolly bear caterpillar flee across the patio

1,842 watched a squirrel eat the pumpkin, which I later dropped on the action figures ;)

and lastly...
60 people watched a totally black video which consisted of two dogs barking at each other on Christmas Eve

If you’re totally bored, they’re at http://www.youtube.com/user/SquirrelOnRoad ;)

MGM has put up a video for the second to last Stargate Atlantis episode "Vegas" at http://stargate.mgm.com/video.php?id=184. Quicktime 7 required to view.

Also, over two dozen photos from the episode at

and

Here are a variety of photos, mostly outdoors nature shots, and.....

Yes, it would not be Christmas without some seasonal Dalek abuse, although it’s tacky enough it can also last through New Year’s!

wraithfodder: (McKay-this is cool)
I *loved* this ad when it first aired, and now found it on YouTube. Won't say what it's for but you'll find out!

wraithfodder: (Shep-darkblue)

Well, second to last Stargate Atlantis, and if we're lucky, we'll get a nice dose of Sheppard. . Oh, if you click on video, yes, spoilers. Thanks to [info]pfyre  for the link

wraithfodder: (cute)
Oh, swore I'd take a break from posting YouTube videos, but this is just perversely amusing with a rude little chipmunk!  May be a bad influence on small childiren

wraithfodder: (McKay-this is cool)
David Hewlett's and Kavan Smith's 'on the couch' interview from Armageddon Expo is now online!  It's just under 19 minutes.

--thanks to the[info]awesomehewletts community for the tip!

Yeah, they spelled David's name wrong, so I wrote them and hopefully they'l fix it.

Ohmygosh, there is a LJ community for squirrel lovers! community.livejournal.com/squirrellovers/
So of course I joined it, Loads of cute pictures! (Plus they 'borrowed' one of mine) :) Meanwhile, enjoy this great ad for Snickers!

This is the third compilation of links around the web, found via Google and other search engines on publicly accessible venues – on the Stargate Atlantis convention held in Burbank, CA the weekend of November 22, 2008. Guests included Jason Momoa, David Hewlett, Rachel Luttrell, Kavan Smith and Dan Shea.

wraithfodder: (Shep-darkblue)
cc_mac over at GW recommended this Sheppard whump video, which is wow, yes, loaded with SHep whump. However, warning, it DOES contain spoilers up to and definitely including the season 5 episode "Remnants."

Enjoy!
wraithfodder: (ronon-faceplant)
* Headdesk * You turned on SciFi Channel on Friday and instead of getting Stargate Atlantis you got – huh?? – a marathon of “Mork and Mindy”! Just isn’t the same, is it?… so, without further ado, Stargate Atlantis Action Figure Theater fills the void with a quality, action-packed story filled with quality writing, award-winning special effects, and just a totally logical premise.

Click if you don't mind brain damage ;) ... )

Okay, I snerched this photo from Astraldust over at GW, who capped the ONLY picture truly worthwhile from this episode of Stargate Atlantis. This is for the fans who just can't bring themselves to spend an hour of their life watching the episode....

wraithfodder: (Hot guys)

Of course the Stargate Atlantis action figures had to get into the Halloween experience, even if it was sorta after. Regrettably, what is there to do with a chewed-up pumpkin but to sacrifice it to the wild tree rodents?? Chockful of weak special effects and a so-so plot, but hey, you do get a movie!

Rodney: “Great, now Woolsey is gonna get ticked off we let something attack Atlantis’ only pumpkin.”
Sheppard: “It’s not the end of the world. I’ll have Lorne just paint it over.”

But of course things never go as planned )But of course things never go as planned )
wraithfodder: (Ronon-smiley)
No real spoilers. Caught this during the Ghost Hunters marathon, which I taped (gads, did anybody really watch the WHOLE thing??)

So, Ronon character ad from Stargate Atlantis. Not the best quality, but am sure Pfyre will upload a better one ;)
